WGA Fan Support Postcards

I’ve put Fan Support postcards up on my Web store, if you’d like to use them to send a message to the studios or their advertisers. In addition to this generic version, I’ve also added postcards to all the fandoms I’ve created products for so far.

ETA: CafePress has taken down a number of my designs because they use the titles of shows. A bit ironic, it seems, but I’m not going to press the issue. Instead, I’ve made a print-at-home version of the “Fans support the writers” postcard, which you can download here (PDF, 1.5MB) . It’s two 8.5 x 11 pages (four to a page, front and back), which you can print back-to-back on cardstock.

A list of addresses for major advertisers can be found here. If anyone has a list of studio addresses, please let me know.

Yesterday, fans on Whedonesque.com got together to show their support of the Writers Guild of America by ordering and delivering pizzas to striking writers in Los Angeles. They’re also planning other ways to show that fans understand how important good writing is to quality television, and that we believe writers deserve fair compensation for their work.

I’ve created these graphics to allow others to show their support. Obviously, these ones are specific to Whedon fans, but I’ve included the Illustrator file below so you can make your own, saying “House fans support the writers,” or “Pushing Daisies fans support the writers,” etc. If you don’t have Adobe Illustrator, drop me a line and I’ll throw one together with your fandom on it. Please check the list below first to see if your fandom is already represented.

ETA: I’ve also started to put shirts and buttons on my CafePress store, if you’re interested.
